Each filter cartridge can only hold so much dirt and water according to its capacity until it is saturated. This leads to an increase in pressure, which can be read on the pressure gauge. The maximum pressure should not exceed two bar, because in this case the filter performance decreases. The filter cartridges should then be changed. To avoid constant control measures, a safety overflow valve is installed in the manifold block below the MO filters, which opens at approximately four bar. This ensures that no hose can burst. The motor is equipped with a motor protection switch that prevents it from burning out in the event of a clogged pump or similar.

When operating the mobile filtration system, two tanks must always be connected: on the one hand, the tank in which there is contamination, and on the other hand, one without. It is especially important to make sure that all the hoses open into the liquid and do not hang in the air. On the one hand, the filter system should not pump air for a long time, because in this case it will wear out due to lack of lubrication. On the other hand, the liquid should not be released into the environment.
Furthermore, it must be ensured that the connected hoses are set to "passage" by opening the corresponding stopcocks.
