About Us

In 1993, everything started in a garage: Mikrofiltertechnik Burmester KG in Geesthacht near Hamburg was founded. The aim was and is to offer alternatives to the tremendous waste of the raw material oil in engine and filter technology through ultra-fine filtration.

The way there seemed simple. Promising products and methods were available worldwide. But in view of the hostile attitude of the oil and automotive industries, it took a great deal of idealism and persuasion to push them through on the market. Initially, only a few were willing to consider the potential of these ideas. Despite all resistance, MFT Mikrofiltertechnik GmbH succeeded in gaining a growing customer base committed to the same environmental ideals.

In 1999, the company moved into new premises in a wooden house in Geesthacht, not far from Hamburg, which was built consistently according to ecological principles. The product range of Mikrofiltertechnik Burmester KG was expanded and the consulting activities were considerably increased. Of course, we are permanently working on the technical improvement of the products and filter techniques.
